I know we’ve already said goodbye to summer about a week ago but it doesn’t feel quite yet like fall in San Francisco. September and October are usually the best months of the year (I mean they are my favorite) where we can enjoy really nice and warm days. But I am excited for cooler days, sweater weather and getting cozy for the arrival of our baby girl in November, so soon!
For now, I am remembering the wonderful time we had in Greece with my family this summer. My parents rented a house on the island of Paros, in a charming little village called Parikia. Lula and I, my parents, my sister and brother in law all met for 12 days. Only my husband had to stay in San Francisco for work and my brother in London. Next time maybe! It’s so rare to be able to all meet at the same time in one place now we all live in different countries.
It was such a nice and relaxing trip. Walking around the little streets of Parikia, visiting other villages on the island like Naoussa, take the boat to beautiful beaches.
You might have seen these photos already if you follow me on Instagram.
My girl! I love this photo of her with the pink door so much! Those little legs!
And that blue! I want to go back!
Looking at these photos of me in these dresses makes me realize how much my belly had grown since! I was around 25 weeks pregnant in France. Have you seen my pregnancy style feature in MOTHER mag last week? I was wearing the same dresses at 31 weeks.

Basket – Flea Market
Necklace – from a little shop in Greece
Sandals – L’Atelier Tropézien
A few weeks late because I am now 30 weeks! We got back from France a couple weeks ago and I have been catching up with work! A recent collaboration with PlayStation and some exciting new products coming soon in the shop. So I haven’t had much time to update the blog recently, but I am back!
I miss Greece already, but the weather has been really nice in San Francisco since we got back, I can still wear dresses and I hope I will be able to until baby arrive, it is so much more comfortable! September and October are my favorite months here, they can be really warm, much warmer than July and August when it’s usually foggy and cold.
Dress – Sandro, Sunglasses – Illesteva, Sandals – Old Navy, Basket – Vintage
I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it in the shop and had to get it even if I know I won’t be able to wear it for long with my fast growing belly (good thing I got it on sale)! Sadly our family vacations in Greece came to an end. It was such a fun and relaxing trip. The island of Paros where we spent the week is super charming, we loved walking around, eating Greek food, shopping for souvenirs and taking the boat to beautiful beaches. I’ll post more photos next week.
We are back at my parent’s in Lyon (France) and celebrated Lula’s second birthday today with my family. I can’t believe she is 2, just like that. I remember every details of the day of her birth like it was yesterday. And I can’t believe she is going to be a big sister in 3 months!!! I am now looking at the date on my computer and read August 22nd, my due date is November 22!
Enjoy your weekend!
PS: Lula and I are featured on Babiekins Magazine today, I answered a few questions about art and motherhood, check out the interview here!
Shirt, bloomer and Sandals – Bout’chou (Monoprix)
Dress – Antik Batik
Earrings – Gas
Enjoying the pool and eating a lot of popsicles. I can never eat mine entirely or I have to hide because as soon as she sees me she says “glace, glace!” and I have to give it to her…
Catching up with my favorite french magazines by the pool and discovering a lovely article featuring my paper bunny trophy in As you like magazine.
Shopping for our baby girl arriving in 3 and half months! Spending a lot of time at Les Puces du Canal de Lyon and finally found the rotin crib I dreamed about! And a matching bed for Lula’s dolls, a few pillows and blankets, baby shoes…
Taking summer baths windows opened in my parents nice and bright bathroom with her new friend.
Going to the carousel at least once a week if not every day!
Going for walks, making friends at the playground and hanging out with her bff (the dog!).
It feels so nice to spend the summer in France, having the time to relax and go to my favorite places. I love to see Lula getting to know the family better, calling them by little nicknames. We are all going to Greece next week for 10 days and I am so excited about it. My parents rented a little fisherman’s house on the Paros island.
I hope you are having a wonderful summer! Follow our adventures on Instagram!
Lula and I just arrived at my parents in Lyon, France. It feels so good to be home with the family and have a real summer (not a fan of San Francisco summer). Not just 2 weeks but a month and half this time and this is what I plan on doing most days! Also someone is turning 2 in a month so I am gathering some ideas for her little celebration only with the family this time!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Spent mostly at our hotel’s pool and in restaurants because of the heat! I am not used to stay at a hotel when I go on vacation, I like to discover places, walk around, go to the museums, shopping … but seriously, it was way too hot to do anything else other than be in the pool. On saturday, after brunch I tried to go for a little walk by myself in the Old Town of Scottsdale for the beautiful Navajo jewelries, but after 20 minutes I couldn’t stand the heat anymore so I just went back to the hotel and join my girl for a nap. On Sunday we went to visit the Franck Lloyd right foundation but it was only a guided tour and the lady advised us to come back on Monday, early in the morning so it would be nicer/safer for Lula, me and the baby. Unfortunately Monday (today), I was at my desk working. So it was not the most productive weekend but a very colorful and relaxing one. And Lula’s happy place is the pool anyway!
Sayulita is such an inspiring place, so many colors and pretty hidden spots. There are so many other places I want to visit in Mexico, I can’t wait for the next trip! I hope you enjoy these photos.
A beautiful yarn painted skull at Evoke I wish I had taken home with me!
I went to Sayulita for the first time last summer, instantly fell in love and dreamed about going back since.
This time I went with my good friend Zoe. My first trip without Lula, before this week I never left her, not even for one night. I was a little scared at first, tried to convinced my husband to join us for the weekend… but he insisted on the fact that it was a good thing for me to take some time for myself and relax. And he was right, it was a much needed vacation that felt so good! Not to worry about grocery shopping, making dinner, prepare the lunchbox, the time, tidying the house and the toys/books (5 times a day), not being waken up by the cat at 5am and dealing with Lula’s tantrums (those terrible 2!) in the morning when I put on her clothes…
5 days of freedom, wearing dresses and sandals, going to the beach, eating popsicles and tacos, shopping (without an impatient/bored husband next to me) and relaxing on the magical rooftop of our beautiful hotel.
So much inspiration everywhere!
Watching the magical sunset from the beach.
But still thinking about Lula and how much fun she would have had at the beach.
I am obsessed with this yellow wall!
I bought a few beaded bracelet, I love the patterns and the colors, they are the perfect accessorizes for summer. And before I left for Sayulita, I received this beautiful rimini bangle from Margareth Elizabeth jewelry as a mother’s day present. I am honored to be featured today on the blog as part of a chic moms series!
I was looking through my photos, organizing files and found these photos my sister took of me and Lula last september when we were in France, in my hometown Lyon. She was 13 months old. One of the things I missed the most from living in France is le marché (farmer’s market)! These photos were taken on a sunny sunday morning at the Marché du quai Saint-Antoine.
I studied 4 years in Aix-en-Provence, in south of France where farmer’s market are the best! There was one at the little place down my building, I used to pass by every morning on my way to school. The smells, the colors…made me so happy! I would go almost every weekend.
Oh and also the pink praline brioche! Which is a speciality from Lyon.
