A couple weekends ago we celebrated Lula’s first birthday. If you’ve seen her party invitation you already know that the theme was “Fete Foraine” inspired by Le Parc de la Tete d’Or a gorgeous park in my hometown. We couldn’t have hoped for a better weather and were so glad almost all of our friends could be here with us to celebrate and my parents too!
I had fun making the paper decors: swan, ferris wheel, cotton candy machine, pinwheels, garlands, little train and ice-cream stand. The napkins, glasses, tablecloths, plates were from Meri Meri and the party hats from Oh Joy for Target collection. Our friend Thibault made 30 delicious belgian waffles (thank you again so so much, they were a hit!) and my mum brought from France a lot of sweets: cherry lollipops, dragés, biscuit rose de reims, roudoudou…. we also had pop corn, Sugar & Spun cotton candy, cupcakes from Mission Minis, Dynamo donuts and Anthony’s cookies (thank you Maria and Jason! my favorite cookies in SF). Ouahh so much food and I didn’t even find the time to eat, I was so busy running everywhere…but I caught up the day after with the left overs!
I hope you enjoy looking at these beautiful photos taken by amazing photographer Priscilla Gragg! Merci Priscilla!
Sorry for the amount of photos, I couldn’t choose! (and even more to come)
Of course she went for the donut!
Where is Milo?! haha
Lula wore 2 different outfits! She started with a super fun tutu from Australian company Rock your baby. And then she wore a Jacadi dress and Freshly Picked moccasins. Her pom pom felt crown is from Hiho batik.
This is the party favors the kids left with: delicious cotton candy from Sugar & Spun, Ice cream cone bubble maker and beach toys to make sand ice-cream from Party City!
We had a super fun day and our friends spoiled her with wonderful gifts. Thank you all so much for coming!
Happy friday! We are celebrating on Instagram with a super fun giveaway: a paper bunny kit from my shop and a cloudy blanket by my friend at Happy French Grang.
Follow me on Instagram to participate and get a chance to win these cute items! Perfect for a kid room decor.
Lula turns 1 on august 17th! This is so soon, I can’t believe it! Here is the little invitation I sent to her friends via Instagram. The theme will be “fete foraine” which means amusement park. It is inspired by the well-known Parc de la tete d’or in my hometown Lyon in France. I used to go a lot and brought Lula for the first time last february when she was just 5 months old. I can’t wait to go during our trip to France in september. Cotton candy, swans, swing, duck fishing game… a lot of fun activities, I can’t wait to celebrate my baby girl’s first birthday!

Here are a few fun props I made that were commissioned by amazing photographer Maria Del Rio for her summertime shoot in San Francisco. It is featured in the issue 10 of Minc Magazine. I love all the colors and fun styling! And the super cool graphic background, it was shot in the sunset, a colorful neighborhood near the ocean. Don’t you want to have a garage door like this? I also want those super curly hairs!
I was so excited last month when agency Alma DDB in Miami reached me to work on a new McDonalds campaign for the Happy Meal. I mean who doesn’t know McDonalds? Funny thing actually, I’ve been trying to tell my american friends who I was working for during the project and they couldn’t understand the name, I had to say it like ten times and then spell it…I’ve been living in the US for almost 6 years now and there are still some words I can’t pronounce like squirrel or water! “Can I have a bottle of water please?” “I’m sorry what?” you should have seen me at the supermarket the other day…embarrassing.
So, I have had a lot of fun working this project. I hope you like it. I don’t really eat meat anymore but making those miniature burgers made me really hungry for one.
More from this campaign coming soon!
