Last friday, 2 days after Halloween was the San Francisco day of the dead procession, where I live in the Mission District. I discovered this celebration 2 years ago when my friend Nic told me about it, he said he liked it much better than Halloween here and he was so right. It is a walking procession with music and performances to a park with art installations, photos and candles to honor the dead.
Amazed by all the beautiful costumes and make up last year, I wanted this year to make my own flower crown and make up. So I invited a few girlfriends at my place to get ready together. Anais (my intern), my friend Julia and Eleonore from the lovely blog Un Beau Jour were of the party. We had a really good time!
